While death and heritage all used to be integral parts of all cultures’ daily routines and habits, physical space in the modern city, and the ‘memorial-parks’ available on the outskirts of urban cores, have played a part in the crowding out of remembrance from our busy lives. This project explores the possibilities available to reintroduce this presence to the American City, as something that binds our culture together through the principles of living memory and common heritage.
